Thursday, June 26, 2003 I'm soo excited about this new blogger I'm going to post again today I took a little trip since my last post today, I went up to Brentwood to do some shopping on good ol' public transit. I've made this promise to myself to not use my car on days I don't work, unless it is completely insane to take transit (as in if I were going to say crowfoot or mckenzie or valley ridge or out of town, or if I have to cart my cat or something else as big and heavy and annoying around). Today I really didn't feel like taking the bus, I felt I had too much to do. So I just went on over to the good ol' adbusters site which makes me feel good and guilty for being such a bad consumer. So the outcome of this is that I've been taking transit more than I did when I had the U-Pass. Those U-pass negotiatiors were brilliant, not offering it for the spring/summer semesters. I hate taking transit in the winter, it's too f-ing cold and dark and evil and snowy. So I take it mostly in the summer. Anyhow, that is all. I really like how you can use your transfer for an hour and a half, I take full advantage of that, getting on and off all the time to do stuff. Anyhow, enough of me extoling the virtues of calgary transit, I'm going to go watch the news... posted by kim | 6:06 p.m.|
