my city is still breathing
back in the saddle

"My purpose for existence is not to appear in the legislature just to be hammered by the Liberals.''said Premier Klein. Actually, Ralph, I think it kind of is. You see, they're the opposition. Although they're kinda small in Alberta, you still have to answer to them. They realise that you can hammer through bills with your big ol' majority, but they still deserve to be able to question you. It might not be the purpose for your existence, but it is your job. Had you said that you wouldn't be in the leg due to some f-ing great thing you were doing for the province (like going out in search of the missing billions needed for education) then maybe it'd be ok. Maybe you did say that, and CFCN, which normally seems to love you, just chose not to report it. Anyhow, accountability is what it's all about. You know, having to answer for your actions. Explain why you're doing what you're doing. I realise you have ministers to do this, some more competent than others. Still, it'd be nice if you showed up to work from time to time, I do help pay your salary.
