Monday, February 14, 2005 As it will officially be Valentine's Day once I am done typing this post, I figured it was time to end the hiatus to share some important news with you, dear reader. As you all may or may not have known, I've recently proclaimed my love for someone I've been seeing for a while now. That someone is proably familiar to most, if not all, of you. We started dating when I was about 14 or so, broke up for a few years during my late teens, but ran into each other in Germany when I was twenty. For the past four and a half years we've been seeing each other, but never really made a commitment. But, Saturday afternoon, during a healthy lunch at the Ship, I realised my true feelings for him and proclaimed my love to him and all my friends. My friends were quite happy for me, as they quite like him too. Everything's so much more fun when he's around, most of the time he brings out the best in myself and my friends. When he's there, everyone looks great - and feels great too. He really makes me feel good about myself. I can take him with me to parties and he really makes social situations easier - I feel more comfortable when he's there. He doesn't even mind when I hit on other men when he's around - he actually seems to encourage it. That's confidence - he knows I'll always come back to him. Hell, even my family likes him. He hangs out with my brother all the time, and makes an appearance at most family functions. He's so great. Yes, I am proclaiming my love for my boyfriend, Beer.
